40-50" This was first described in 1808 by A. P. Candolle. He found it
growing in the garden of M. Lemonnier at Versailles where it was called the Iris of Rhodes. The standards and falls are a bright yellow with pale yellow styles and small crests. A hybrid of I. orientalis according to Mathew, perhaps with I. xanthospuria.
